It is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments!   Did You Know?As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door.  Did You Know?As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!  Did You Know? There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, DC Did You Know? James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement: "We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God." Did You Know? Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said: "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ". Did You Know?Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777. Did You Know? Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established religions in the colonies. Did You Know? Thomas Jefferson worried that the "Courts" would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law ... AN OLIGARCHY.... "the rule of few over many." He removed several Justices from the "Supreme Court Bench"... Did You Know?The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said:  "Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers." How, then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly "wrong and unconstitutional"? Please forward this to everyone you can. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having the 10 commandments on display or "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance Let's vote on what happens in our society. Then what?? Do the math!  and The Lord's Prayer are not allowed in most public schools anymore because the word "God" is mentioned.... A kid in Arizona wrote the following, NEW School Prayer. I liked it....  Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd.    If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now.  Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.  For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state.  We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable.  We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.  We can get our condoms and birth controls, Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, No word of God must reach this crowd.   It's scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school's a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen  ObituaryToday we mourn the passing ofa beloved old friend, Mr. Common Sense. Mr. Sense had been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such value lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life isn't always fair. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids, are in charge). His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place - reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Mr. Sense declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student; but, could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights and Ima Whiner. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
